The members of this department are organized into subspecialty groups, each focusing on a segment of anesthesiology. It is one of largest department. Subspecialty areas are cardiovascular, general surgery, intensive care, neurosurgery, obstetrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, thoracic transplantation and pain medicine.
Anaesthesia:
It is the reversible loss of all sensation modalities with or without reversible loss of consciousness.
