Bile duct cancer is a rare disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the bile ducts. A network of tubes, called ducts, connects the liver, gallbladder, and small intestine. Bile duct cancer is also called cholangiocarcinoma.
A cancer in the slender tubes that carry bile, the digestive fluid, through the liver. It's a rare but aggressive form of cancer. Symptoms include yellow skin and eyes (jaundice), intensely itchy skin and stool that's white in colour.
Treatment may include surgery, chemotherapy and radiation.
