Where is the hospital located?

Maharaja Agrasen Hospital is located at the West Punjabi Bagh, New Rohtak Road, New Delhi. From Airport it is 22 km. From Shivaji Park Metro Station it is approx 5 minutes walk to the hospital. From New Delhi Railway Station it is 13 km.

What is the procedure for admission?

The admission procedure is very brief and completely "hassle-free". Patient should bring a referral from a doctor for admission and should report to our emergency where our doctor will examine the patient and advice admission if necessary. The patient's relative/escort then fills up the 'Consent Form' for admission, while the patient is administered necessary medical treatment.

What is Cashless Hospitalization?

In case of a cashless hospitalization, the insurance company will bear the cost of treatment in full or partially based on the terms of your health insurance policy. Cashless hospitalization is a facility provided by the hospital to enable an insured patient to get admitted and undergo the required treatment without payment in cash with prior approval cases. The hospital (health care service provider) will mediate between the patient and the approved TPA to process the cashless service. We will help you obtain the necessary approvals from TPA so that cashless facility can be extended to the patient. In case of denial of cashless facility by TPA the patient will have to pay the bill. Personnel from mediclaim desk will be available from 8.00A.M to 8.00P.M to help with all your queries and procedures to avail the cashless services or help with insurance queries.

What is the mode of payment in your hospital?

The mode of payment is only by Cash / Credit Card / Debit Cards (Visa or Master Cards).

Do you have the facility of cashless treatment?

Yes, we do have the facility of Cashless Treatment Benefit which is subject to the concerned TPA's Letter of Approval issued to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital.

What are the visiting hours?

Visiting hours are as under:
ICU : NEU : Morning: 10:30 am – 11:00 am
Evening: 4.30 pm - 5:00 pm
ICU : Morning: 11:00 am – 11:30 am
Evening: 5.00 pm - 5.30 pm
ICCU : Morning: 10.00 am TO 10.30 am
Evening: 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm
In All Ward : Summer : 5 pm to 7 pm
Winter : 4 pm to 6 pm

From where will I collect the visitor’s passes?

Visitor’s passes are issued from the Reception.

How many visitors are allowed at a time?

2 visitors at a time

Are children allowed to visit the patient?

No Children are allowed under age of 12 years.

Are the medicines provided by the hospital or do I have to purchase it from outside?

Yes, the medicines will be provided by the Hospital.

Is food from home allowed?

Food for the patient is provided by the Hospital.

Does the hospital have 24x7 emergency care?

What is a day care surgery?

During a Day Care Surgery, the patient is not required to stay in the hospital overnight.

What is Dialysis?

Dialysis is the process by which kidney failure patient’s blood is cleaned of the toxins and metabolic waste products. It is generally done in patients with end stage renal disease. Haemodialysis is done in our hospital. We have a 24 hrs functioning dialysis unit.

What is a Bypass Surgery?

The arteries that supply blood to the heart muscles sometimes get clogged by plaques (a build up of fat, cholesterol and other substances), this slows down or stops blood flow to the heart muscles causing chest pain (anginal) pain or 'Heart Attack'. Heart Bypass Surgery is a type of surgery, where the blood flow to muscles of heart is 'rerouted or bypassed' the clogged arteries to improve the blood flow and oxygen to the heart.

What is “Beating Heart Surgery”?

“Beating Heart Surgery” is a new technique of heart surgery in which Cardio Thoracic Surgeons does all the procedures of bypass on beating heart without using heart lung machine. This helps in early recovery & minimal post operative complications.

What is Angiography?

Angiography is an X-Ray examination of the blood vessels - called 'arteries'. To make the arteries visible on X-Ray, a type of dye called "contrast" is injected through peripheral artery radial or femoral. A small, sterile flexible tube called a 'catheter' is inserted into the arterial system & up to the areas to be visualized eg aorta in coronary angiography. Radial artery angiography is new technique with minimal trauma to patient and early mobilization. Our cardiac centre is first in Delhi to start radial angiography & has done number of radial cases in all over India.

What is Angioplasty?

Angioplasty is a procedure where a tiny balloon is used to restore blood flow to the heart by reopening arteries closed or narrowed down by 'plaques'. A permanent stent is often put in place to keep the artery open before the ballon catheter is removed.

Absolutely - If you need assistance when you come in to the hospital, you will be provided with the necessary help. There is a wheel chair and stretcher available at the Emergency (Gate No 1) and OPD registration area at (Gate No 3).We can also help coordinate ambulance services with nominal charges charged by the ambulance provider for the service.
